HOMAtestWherever wooden masts are used, a high level of safety is required. This is why wooden masts have to undergo stability tests time and time again. The damage is often not visible to the naked eye because it is hidden inside. Weak points occur around the ground and below. It is often only possible to find them by carrying out extensive excavations. The test system that we use solves this problem and is able to provide informative results in a matter of minutes. The testThe HOMAtest is based on the principle of measuring the drilling resistance. A drilling needle is inserted into the wood at a constant speed. During the drilling process, the energy required is measured in relation to the penetration depth of the needle. This makes it possible to determine structures, internal damage or residual walls of trees and wood anywhere and without great effort. Depending on the type of device used, the determined data can be recorded electronically and transferred to a PC using software, where it is then evaluated and processed. This work is a matter of millimeters and produces significant results.
